Our Approach

Creating Safe, Supportive Spaces for Children to Thrive

At KAPAW, we are dedicated to creating nurturing environments where children in the Upper West Region receive the care, support, and resources they deserve. Through personalized, community-driven programmes we empower every child to overcome challenges and unlock their potential.

Every project is designed with communities, not for them, ensuring local ownership, cultural relevance, and sustainable impact.

From Waste to Worth

From Waste to Worth is a 4-week hands-on workshop for children aged 7–13, running from August 1, 2026. Children bring old T-shirts, dresses, jeans, or fabric from home and learn to transform them into amazing creations — bags, cushions, and more. Participants learn to sew and stitch, upcycle and design, express their creativity, and protect the environment. Registration opens July 10, 2026. Sessions run 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, community based, and open to all children in schools and communities. The project is being extended to prisoners in Wa as a second phase.
